The Seventh Annual Weblog Awards, also known as the 2007 Bloggies, are here and you, dear reader, have another day to vote for us (we think - they haven’t updated the submission dates.)

We figure Trans-Pacific Radio has a chance in the following categories: Best Asian Weblog, Best Weblog About Politics, Best-Kept Secret Weblog, and Best New Weblog. If you think so, too, or are willing to cast a vote in our favor, we’d really appreciate it.

Don’t forget that you have to nominate a total of three different blogs in all categories. So, on your whole ballot, there must at least three different blogs.

Thanks for listening, reading, and encouraging us. Your comments and feedback continue to help us work toward our goal of becoming Japan’s best news and political blog and podcast.

I’d like to list our high points here, but it’s so hard to choose. Perhaps our Op/Ed on bullying. Maybe being really on the ball and announcing North Korea’s nuclear test before the morning news crews woke up in the US. Could be the ongoing improvement of our flagship program, Seijigiri. Or you could be a TPR News fan. We seemed to be the only blog that commemorated the anniversary of the announcement Japan’s three non-nuclear principles or the anniversary of Ito Hirobumi’s ascendance to the Prime Ministership - Japan’s first. Perhaps you like our guests Albrecht Stahmer and Jarad Dickinson or Alex Pappas, the new addition Ken and I are so excited about. Maybe you just like a Christmas story along with your politics.

I could go on, but I won’t for now. You need to go exercise the franchise. Thanks for doing so.
