A Note from the Editor re: “Cultural Revolution Incorporated”

At the request of the author, we’ve retracted Alex Pappas’s recent article “The Cultural Revolution Incorporated: How Japan is leaving its mark on the world.” This is in keeping with TPR’s general editorial philosophy that an author both owns and is responsible for his or her own work.

From the author:

My sincere apologies to everyone. We’ve retracted the story and will be publishing new material shortly. Thank you for your continued patronage.

We appreciate the fact that our readers and fellow bloggers hold us to a high standard and have taken the time to let us know what we need to work on.

Thanks for reading, listening, and commenting. We hope you’ll continue to do so.

What was the reason for the retraction?
