					<description>It's not that strange because the poll you're referring to is actually asking voters about the upcoming *local* elections in April, not the upper house as the text of the TPR article indicates. There's no sense in basing your vote for prefectural governor or assemblyperson on how Abe's handling talks with NK. But there are many many municipalities that could end up sharing Yubari's fate, so that's a much more cogent issue.</description>

					<description>The article doesn't mention it, but I'm guessing it wasn't part of the poll since it has little or nothing to do with the elections, especially the local elections. I don't think any election results in the Upper House will affect Japan's stance on the issue either.</description>

					<description>I find it very strange that that Tokyo Shimbun poll didn't ask (or was it just not reported?) on what percentage of people considered North Korea and/or kidnapping important issues.</description>
