He hadn't known he was interested, but Fukuda's accountant didn't know the company of which he was president had donated money to the political group of which he was chief accountant, so I guess not knowing what you're doing is par for the course in politics. Ozawa offered his resignation as president of the DPJ to ponder his future as the owner of Nova. It all makes sense now.
