Want free tickets to an event not to be missed? (Click “Read on” or the title for more info.)

Update: They’re gone! (If you e-mailed us, but haven’t heard back yet, don’t worry, we’ll be in touch as soon as we sort out which tickets go to whom to give everyone tickets as close to their first choice as possible.

We’ll keep everyone’s contact info through the weekend, as a sort of standby list, in the off-chance that someone who “won” tickets tells us they can’t go.  Don’t bank on this, though.  We strongly recommend buying tickets while you can to avoid missing out on the show altogether.)

The Black Stripe Theater is a special treat for Anglophone Tokyoite fans of the stage: professional actors, professional director, excellence all around. When a company as good as the BST takes on a play as great as David Mamet’s masterpiece Glengarry Glen Ross in the intimate space of Theater Iwato, it’s bound to be a show to remember.

Here’s the deal: Comment here or e-mail us at transpacificradio@gmail.com and include the following:
1. Your name and contact information (E-mail address, cell phone e-mail, phone number - whatever will enable us to get in touch with you as soon as possible)

2. Your performance preference (Which performance best fits your schedule? Please rank them from 1st to 5th. See schedule below.)

Time is short! Contact us the Black Stripe Theater as soon as possible to get your free tickets.

Tickets are also available through blackstripetheater@yahoo.com - ¥3,000 for adults, ¥2,500 for students or seniors.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, February 22nd, 7:30p.m.
Saturday, February 23rd, 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feburary 24th, 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Place: Theatre Iwato, on the North side of Okubo-dori, in Tokyo’s Shinjuku-ku, between Kakuyasu (カクヤス) liquor store and MOS’s-C. (Click the link for a map.)

Four claimed, one to go. If anyone would like to see the Sunday matinee performance at 2:00 p.m., let us know.

To everyone who has e-mailed us: You’ll hear from us soon. There was a good deal of interest in Saturday, especially, so we’re comparing everyone’s preferences to make sure we can get free tickets to as many of you as possible. Don’t worry - we’ll contact you soon.
