John,

I linked to Clark's article in the piece. I don't want to draw much attention to it, though, simply because it is largely an amalgamation of parts of earlier articles he'd written, mostly for the Japan Times, is rife with factual errors (or false statements, depending on how you want to look at it), and jumps and skips around logic, drawing conclusions that simply aren't supported by even the suspect evidence he provides.

I'll attempt to re-paste the link below without the angle brackets:

http://www.gregoryclark.net/page14/page14.html

For some technical reason, if you place cone brackets or angle brackets around the URL address (e.g., "") it doesn't appear on your website. Interesting.

In the old days (5 years ago), we were told to put these brackets around URL addresses so it was easier for the reader to right-click directly to the page.

John, was there supposed to be a link in your comment? If so, could you post it again?

Gregory Clark wrote a piece outlining his thoughts on this matter entitled, "The Strange Story of Debito Arudou a.k.a. David Aldwinckle."

It can be read at:

I enjoyed thinking about his perspective on Arudou's crusade. He writes well.

The problem is even more complicated further ! Even if the lawmakers decide to go for it who has a heart towards this issue ? Can you survey them all and let us know ? I personally don't think that any of today's law-makers (even all those freshly elected to lower house / change of power et al included) would even dare to propose such a bill. So NO, your question No 3 should not be posed to Arudo Debito. He has showed a light to all. Those who have worn blinds like horses of horse-carriages do, won't even want to remember this case, let alone making a new law. If you can pose any question to anyone, please ask the same question to the newly elected lawmakers. Do they have enough guts to make such a bill and get it passed in Diet now ? We actually expect an answer from you !
